Jones Lang LaSalle and Pacific Medical Buildings form National Strategic Development Alliance

NEW VENTURE OFFERS A BROAD
RANGE OF HEALTHCARE REAL ESTATE OPTIONS

CHICAGO, NEWS EMBARGO UNTIL MAY 31, 2011 - Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) and Pacific Medical Buildings (PMB) today announced the formation
of a strategic alliance to deliver ground-up real estate solutions to healthcare organizations. The venture looks to capitalize on the strengths of each organization, combining
PMB's investment capital, track record of developing healthcare facilities and national reputation with Jones Lang LaSalle's consulting and development expertise, local execution
capabilities and national business development relationships. Jones Lang LaSalle and PMB will assist healthcare providers with strategic planning, development planning and
financing solutions for their real estate assets and construction projects by building on both companies' foundation of advising and developing healthcare real estate assets from
the user's perspective.

"Jones Lang LaSalle has a history providing healthcare clients development advisory expertise. Our new alliance with PMB will expand our ability to
fully execute development programs for our healthcare system clients through their proven ability to develop, finance and operate outpatient healthcare facilities," said Peter
Bulgarelli, Chief Operating Officer of Jones Lang LaSalle's national healthcare group. "We're aggressively expanding our healthcare practice to provide a full service capability
across the nation. This alliance with a nationally recognized medical office building developer will expand the options that we can provide to our clients."

Jones Lang
LaSalle's national healthcare solutions group works with hospitals throughout the country to achieve optimized efficiency, flexibility and cost saving through program management,
facility management, hospital and medical building construction, healthcare finance, hospital operations, location strategy and real estate transaction management services. The
firm was ranked as Modern Healthcare's second largest development firm in 2010, and this partnership should continue to expand the firm's influence in this industry sector. The
firm services a number of representative clients including the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Beaumont Hospitals, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, Alexian Brothers
Health System, Kaiser Permanente and Tenet Healthcare.

PMB specializes in the development and management of healthcare facilities. It owns and manages a portfolio of 44
medical office buildings, totaling more than three million square feet in the western region of the United States. Along with its development expertise, PMB has considerable
financing experience, securing more than $1 billion of healthcare project financing since 2003.

PMB's partnership with Nationwide Health Properties ("NHP"),a leading
investment grade healthcare REIT, provides ready access to capital and streamlines the financing process. NHP has a market capitalization of approximately $5.5 billion and has one
of the strongest balance sheets in the REIT industry. NHP's recently announced merger with Ventas will create the largest publicly traded healthcare REIT in the country and is
anticipated to close in the third quarter. This consolidation will serve to further strengthen PMB's access to low cost capital.

"Healthcare organizations' operational and
real estate needs are growing in size and complexity. Systems need integrated expansion solutions that provide vital real estate expertise and can bring alternate sources of
capital," said Mark Toothacre, President and CEO of PMB. "Hospitals have a difficult time raising capital needed to invest in new facilities, equipment and technologies that
improve service. To ease the conflicts systems face with competing needs for capital, PMB can offer a variety of project ownership models from outright ownership by PMB to
ownership with the project's tenants and our hospital partners. Our proven model for developing and financing facilities affordably, combined with Jones Lang LaSalle's local
service delivery and national operational capabilities and capital markets expertise will form the best standard for outpatient development solutions."

"Our clients have
consistently looked to Jones Lang LaSalle to serve as their single-source for a full spectrum of services. With this alliance, we build upon a foundation of developing real estate
assets from the perspective of the healthcare organization and its unique requirements, combining national best practices, local execution, flexibility and creativity," said Shawn
Janus, Managing Director and head of development for Jones Lang LaSalle's national healthcare group. "The combined forces of the PMB/JLL team are uniquely positioned to offer
development expertise, execution capabilities and a capital solution to healthcare systems."
