Our new philosophy...
Medical office buildings are different. They may look like any other commercial office building with doors, floors, and elevators. Certainly, medical office buildings are plumbed and wired differently to accommodate medical specialties and advanced medical equipment, but they’re really quite different in other ways too.
Commercial office buildings serve the needs of a variety of different businesses. Most commercial buildings are teeming with activity as customers and businesses look to maximize their opportunities for success. Commercial management and leasing is highly competitive as each new development looks to become the most attractive option in the market.
Medical office buildings, to a great extent, are really single purpose structures – built to serve people needing care. The tenants in the building and their employees are united in a common purpose, the delivery of care. The buildings house healthcare providers, not businesses. The buildings serve patients, not customers.
As managers specializing in healthcare real estate, it’s our job to create a warm and welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable. After all, does anyone really want to visit a medical office building? At PMB Real Estate Services, we’re working to foster a culture of caring. A culture of caring, not only for our clients and their real estate assets, but caring for our hospital partners, their practices, their employees and ultimately, their patients. It is, after all, healthcare.
